Women Spend 3 Hours a Week Re-Doing Men's Chores
Survey shows men trying more, but not doing so well
be helping out around the house more than ever before, but that's not
necessarily making life easier for the women in their lives. In fact,
women spend three hours each week re-doing the chores that the men have
done badly, according to a new survey of 2,000 women in the UK, reports
the Daily Mail.
Leading the way of poorly done chores was wiping down the kitchen
counter, followed by plumping and arranging sofa cushions, and making
the bed. But men were also not so great at laundry, vacuuming, and
putting away dishes, clothes, and other stuff—basically everything.
"Although it's impossible for women to do everything themselves, they still have high hopes for perfection—and if jobs aren't done to the desired standard by the partner, often many feel they could do better themselves," says a spokesman for Sainsbury, the British retailer behind the survey. About half the time, women say they don't even bother nagging their men to do a better job, and find it easier just to re-do it themselves.
