This is the house I grew up in (my dad had money) Its worth $450,000.00
This was my multi-millionare uncles town home, Its TINY and about $200,000.00
This is where my other multi millionare uncle (former top exec of a major airline) lives. Another town home! Its worth $180,000.00
These houses were all owned by people with MUCH more money than Jon and Kate.
They all could have easily bought McMansions to live in and had many people to work for them to keep it all up. But they didnt. You know why?
Because as RICH PEOPLE THEY MAKE WISE CHOICES!
They do not buy $1.2 Million 25 acre houses with THOUSANDS of dollars of upkeep a month if they have many children.
They do not count their chickens before their hatched.
They do not buy a 1.2 million dollar house when they only have 2.5 million in the bank.
They do not buy a 1.2 million dollar house when they have a dying marriage when that marriage and family life is the one thing that was keeping you afloat.
They do not buy 1.2 million dollar homes when they have 8 children to clothe and feed (nor do they stop being gainfully employed -away from the Tv show- during fickle shakey times) and take gambles with their money.
They do not buy 1.2 million dollar homes (IMAGINE THE CLOSING COSTS BTW) when they havent sold their old house.
I mean think of this....
Recently, in my area, they have built and are building 3 PLANNED shopping centers.
GIANT ones with residential, retail and office space.
ALL three of them were planned 5 yrs ago and ALL THREE of them have had HALF their retail tenents PULL OUT or go out of business.
Barnes and Noble pulled out and Linens and Things went out of business...
If Barnes and Noble PULLED OUT of a shopping center that has a WEGMANS SUPERMARKET in THIS ECONOMY WHAT MADE KATE GOSSELIN THINK IT WAS A GREAT IDEA TO BUY A $1.2 MILLION DOLLAR HOUSE?
And these sheeple think Kate is so smart, and organized?
Now my paternal side of my family has been in real estate since before I was born, starting with my Granddaddy (yes he was from Kentucky) who was born in the 1800's. My Granddaddy was a excellent business man and owner and was responsible for getting electricity into Tennesee...
My Grandaddy and the rest of my family would never THINK of buying a 1.2 million dollar house in this economy with 8 kids and NO real job.
Kate Gosselin is dumber than dirt and the only reason she bought that house is to SHOW OFF. To say, no SCREAM
IM BETTER THAN YOU COMMONERS!
And God is smiting her!
Bad decisions for the Gosselins to purchase the McMansion. Their old house (E-town???) could have been remodeled. They had all that land in the backyard and they could have added an extension onto the back of the kitchen. Maybe put 100K into the house and it would have been really nice. Kate's ego outgrew the house. She's "new money" and she obviously didn't know how to spend it wisely.
